We were so happy to stop by news stands and pick up a copy of California Wedding Day Magazine and see Neeta and Atul’s Hummingbird Nest Ranch wedding featured in their magazine. Their wedding was a two day event with a sangeet on Friday night with dance routines and singing performances by their cousins and of course a lot of great food.
For their wedding day Neeta and Atul rented out the entire property at Hummingbird Nest Ranch so that their guests could enjoy the grounds without any interruption. Their wedding day was bright and sunny, everything you would expect from a Southern California wedding. The guests enjoyed the bharrat with the DJ skills of Riamu Entertainment and Tai the elephant from Have Trunk Will Travel. I really loved the bridesmaids colorful purple and gold saris, they really dazzled in the sunlight as they were greeting Atul after the bharrat.
Neeta made her grand entrance into the ceremony accompanied by both of her parents and her brother. I thought it was a really nice touch to have all members of the family accompany her to the mandap. Their ceremony was performed by Dharmasetu Das, the same priest who married my husband and I.
Since the weather on their wedding day was perfect they held their reception outdoors, underneath the clear skies. Neeta and Atul had a mix of long wooden farm tables and round tables, draped in white linens. Both of the tables were covered in white orchids with gold dining wear and purple linen napkins, that perfectly matched the venue of Hummingbird Nest Ranch. With a beautiful view of the rolling mountains and nearby fields the guests danced the night away under the stars.
