New York is such an amazing city filled with life and beauty. Although Tanvi and Deep are getting married in Southern California they reside in New York and wanted to have their engagement photos taken in the place they call home. We started our day taking photos in Central Park there is nothing more fun on a crisp day then taking a walk thru Central Park. It rained the day before their engagement session so all the trees in Central Park were especially green that day. You would never know it by looking at the photos but the park was packed with people walking, riding bikes and just enjoying the sunny day.
I love Tanvi’s white dress with the floral cut outs it was such a perfect outfit for the park. PHOTO TIP – when choosing your engagement outfit always dress for your location.
We took a taxi from Central Park to our hotel at the Waldorf Astoria. Even though New York is full of taxis it took a little while for us to grab a cab, thank goodness for Uber. Tanvi and Deep did a quick change and we were off in a cab again to our second location.
The final location we photographed in was the Brooklyn Bridge since we had photographed earlier in the park Tanvi and Deep wanted their second location to be urban and what is more urban than the Brooklyn Bridge. Recently a local artist restored a carousel from the early 1920’s and gifted it to the city of New York, the carousel sits on the base of the Brooklyn Bridge and is enclosed in a glass case. The sunset sky beautifully reflected on it the night that we were there.
A big thank you to my clients for bringing me out to New York to photograph their engagement session what a great adventure we had
